Here we are going to discuss how to clone hard disk Windows 7 with this newest and powerful tool.

Step1: Free download windows 7 partition magic tool, install and launch it. From the following screenshot, we can preview the main interface and some features of it. On the left side, we can see, click "Disk Copy Wizard".

Step2: In the dialog box, there are two methods for us to choose. Select an appropriate method, and click "Next". (Here we choose "Copy Disk Quickly".)

Attention:

  • "Copy Disk Quickly", just copy the used space to the target disk, and the size of the target space must be larger or equal to the used space.
  • "Sector-by-Sector Copy", copy the whole disk to the target disk and the size of it must be equal or larger than the source disk.
  • System/Boot disk, dynamic disk, GPT disk and offline disk cannot be selected as a target disk.
  • If there are some data on a target disk, all the data will be damaged after completing the operations.

Step3: Select a source disk and click "Next". And then select a target disk, click "Next". (If the target disk is Solid State Drive, tick the "Optimize performance for SSD".

Step4: After finishing step3, the program will popup a window that provides three methods to adjust the volume size on the destination disk. Select a method according to our needs, and click "Next".

Step6: Click "Apply" on the toolbar to commit the operations.

With this convenient and reliable software, we can move the data of old HDD to a new bigger HDD or SSD safely.
