Solution to Windows 7 and Vista Problem: C Drive Full, D Drive Empty

"C: drive full but D: drive almost empty"

My friend has a 1 year old laptop that is running Windows 7. His C: hard drive is full but the D: hard drive is practically empty. He runs QuickBooks from his C: drive but it pops up with error warnings that his drive is almost full and he is worried that he won't be able to use it anymore. What do we do?"
